The Humanities Lab for School Students is a place of encounter. The Academy enables young people to explore the fascinating world of modern humanities through – as the term “lab” already indicates – personal practice, research, and testing.
For a few hours, the students come, together with their teachers, to our main building at Gendarmenmarkt, where several treasures in the form of collections, archives, and special libraries are available, and they get to know the work of a historian or a literary scholar. The students are accompanied and supported by active researchers. This does not only ensure that professional standards are maintained but also creates an opportunity for personal exchange, which is often crucial for the development of scientific interest.
